SYNOPSIS:
In a ruined and toxic future, a community exists in a giant underground silo that plunges hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them.
The concept of the show was interesting. The idea of a group of survivors living in an underground silo in a post-apocalyptic world kept me interested but again, it’s a concept which we’ve seen in a lot of different iterations. The character development was well-done. The suspense and mystery surrounding the outside world created a sense of tension that kept me engaged.
But I felt the pacing of the show was a bit slow at times. Some episodes seemed to drag on without much progress in the overall plot and the dialogue was sometimes cliché and predictable. The special effects could have been more polished as some of the CGI looked a bit amateurish.
TSHC SCORE: 7/10
CONCLUSION:
Silo Season 01 was a decent start to the series. While it had its flaws, it also had its moments of brilliance. The intriguing concept and well-developed characters kept me engaged, although the slow pacing and predictable dialogue held it back.
