After dodging so many spoilers online, I finally watched Deadpool & Wolverine, and I have to say, it wasn’t as much fun as I expected it to be. The plot kicks off with Deadpool ditching his vigilante lifestyle after a failed attempt to join the Avengers. But soon enough, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) ropes him in by giving him a chance to be part of the “sacred timeline” aka, the MCU. But it also means that this would end of his universe, Earth 10005. So to save his timeline from getting extinct, he needs to find a new "anchor being" to replace Wolverine (Logan), who holds their universe together. It's a mix of comedy, action, and a dash of existential crisis as Deadpool steps up to be the hero he never thought he could be.
Despite the fun premise, the movie does have its drawbacks. The action scenes started off strong but quickly lost steam, with some of the CGI looking more like a video game than a movie. Director Shawn Levy seems to get Deadpool’s humour, but the fight scenes just didn’t pack the punch I was hoping for. On top of that, the story felt a bit shallow, and even with all the cameos and nods to MCU lore, it couldn’t quite make up for the weak plot. Also on that note, this pattern of having cameos and no sensible plot in movies is something I'm not enjoying, as previously seen in "Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home." (Just my opinion, no one has to agree on it but yeah)

The only standout thing in the entire film was Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of Wolverine. I mean, at this point, dude’s a natural. I really appreciated his performance, especially when he finally donned the classic suit!
TSHC Score : 6/10
All in all, I feel Deadpool & Wolverine is a hit-or-miss. There were definitely moments that made me laugh and appreciate the character development, especially seeing Deadpool and Wolverine's dynamic unfold. But it wasn’t enough to overlook the film’s major flaws. It’s worth a watch if you’re a fan of the franchise, but don’t expect it to blow you away like the earlier movies did.
The action was mediocre, no Marvel movie yet has topped The Winter Soldier in terms of action.
